As November arrives, our regular grass cutting round (April–October) has come to an end for another year. But that doesn’t mean your garden goes on hold, in fact, this is one of the best times to get ahead and prepare for next spring.
With the mild weather we’ve had, lawns are still growing (albeit more slowly). We’ll continue offering flexible cuts where needed, just get in touch if your lawn could do with a tidy-up before winter really sets in.
Essential garden jobs for late autumn
Autumn is the perfect window to tidy, repair, and refresh your garden. Here are a few tasks worth considering before winter takes hold:
- Mulching and composting – insulate your borders and boost the soil ready for spring.
- Winter tidy-ups and leaf clearance – keeping paths clear and borders tidy helps prevent rot and mould.
- Hedge cutting and pruning – shape and control growth before plants go fully dormant.
- Planting and bed preparation – ideal for bulbs, bare-root plants, and setting up for next year’s displays.
- Pressure washing – remove moss, algae, and dirt from patios, paths, and driveways.
- Fencing repairs or replacements – deal with weathered panels before strong winds arrive.
Plan ahead for winter projects
We’re already taking bookings for November through January, and spaces tend to fill up quickly. Whether it’s a quick tidy, hedge cut, or a more substantial project, get in touch soon to secure a spot in our schedule.
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who’s been part of our grass cutting round this year, we really value your support and look forward to helping keep your garden looking its best through the winter and beyond.
